Musical Lyrics

Elizabeth Bishop's Poem "Rain Towards Morning"
The great light cage has broken up in the
air, freeing, I think, about a million birds whose wild ascending shadows will not be back, and all the wires
come falling down. No cage, no frightening birds; the rain is brightening now. The face is pale that tried the
puzzle of their prison and solved it with an unexpected kiss, whose freckled unsuspected hands alit.
The poem to me relates
to that of the musical group "Rage Against the Machine" song "Freedom"

I believe Elizabeth Bishop resembles a singer who is elegant with her music and that Bonnie Rait, because Bonnie expresses
herself through her music, and her personality. Bonnie Rait is also a great artist who sings well and is somewhat like Elizabeth.
They both have the same tone through music and words. The sprit and vibe of this poet is that she expresses herself through
words and about her life; where as a picture can represent a thousand words if you were to paint a picture about Elizabeth’s
life. From the place she came from to the place she ended up at when she died. Both Elizabeth and Bonnie to me seem very similar
because they are both good people who came along way in life to get to where they wanted to be. Famous!
